Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival

Upon arrival in Rome your tour leader will be waiting for you and escort you to your religious house. Check in and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 - Papal Audience

After breakfast at your hotel, make your way to Vatican City by public transport, where the audience with Pope Francis will be held (tickets provided). Afterwards there will be free time to visit the Vatican Museums for those who wish to (not included) and lunch. This afternoon visit the English College and celebrate Holy Mass as a group before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant in Trastevere. Return by public transport to the hotel by public transport for overnight at your hotel

Day 3 - THE BASILICAS

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning before you will be collected by private bus to visit Area of the Holy Basilicas of Mary Major, St John Lateran and Staircase (Holy Mass to be arranged), Basilica of the Cross of Jerusalem. This evening have evening prayer together at Santa Maria dei Trinita at the top of the Spanish Steps before returning to the hotel by public transport. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4 - BAROQUE ROME

After breakfast at your hotel, make your way by public transport to the heart of Rome Baroque for your walking tour: take in the Piazza Navona, Fiumi Fountain of Bernini, Piazza di Spagna, Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. You will also visit the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva Basilica before reaching Chielsa de Gesu, home of St Ignatius. Spend some time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament before celebrating Holy Mass as a group. Return to the hotel by public transport for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 5 - St Peters

After breakfast this morning, make your way back to Vatican City by public transport for your early Mass at St Peters Basilica. Following this, meet your local guide for the tour of St Peter’s Basilica. This afternoon, visit the Tomb of Saint Peter and the Necropolis under the Vatican Basilica. We will need to book early with full list of pilgrims. Children under 15 years old are not admitted, people suffering from claustrophobic or similar should not participate. Overnight and dinner at the hotel.

Day 6 - Assisi

After breakfast at your hotel, leave towards Assisi. Visit the museum of Porziuncola Santa Maria degli Angeli to gain greater insight into the life of St. Francis. This afternoon visit San Damiano Convent with the possibility to celebrate Holy Mass. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Assisi.

Day 7 - Assisi

This morning after breakfast, visit the old towns of Assisi and the Basilica of San Francis and of Saint Chiara. You can have Holy Mass in either Church and enjoy time for reflection and prayer. Visit also San Ruffino and the medieval city centre. 2 hour guided tour included of the Monte Subasio and The Carceri, to visit the monastery where St Francis lived. Return to Assisi for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 - Departure

After breakfast this morning, transfer to Rome Airport for your flight home.
