Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival
Upon arrival in Rome your tour leader will be waiting for you and escort you to your religious house. Check in and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Vatican and Saint Peters
After breakfast at your hotel, you reach the Vatican Museum , where your local guide will be waiting for you. Sightseeing with your local guide starts with a visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, world famous for Michelangelo’s ceiling paintings and The Last Judgement. Continue with a visit to the monumental St. Peter’s Square and Basilica. Reservation, tickets and whisperers included. Enjoy some free time for prayer and then Holy Mass. This evening have dinner in one of the restaurants in this area. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - ST PAUL OUTSIDE THE WALLS, ST BEDE & THE CATACOMBS
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer by bus (included) to to visit St. Paul Outside the Walls where you will celebrate Holy Mass. After here a short walk takes you to the Beda College which prepares candidates for the priesthood. This afternoon journey to via Appia where you will visit the Catacombe San Callisto with your local guide. They were the official cemetery of the Church of Rome in the 3 rd century AD. Around half a million Christians were buried here, among them many martyrs and 16 popes. From here visit go on Back to the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight.
Day 4 - BAROQUE ROME
After breakfast at your hotel, your reach your Local guide for a walking tour of the heart of Rome Baroque: start with the Piazza Navona, perfect example of Italian Baroque with the 4 Fiumi Fountain of Bernini, then Piazza di Spagna and its steps. You won’t miss the breath-taking Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. From here visit Chielsa de Gesu, home of St Ignatius and spend some time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. From here you will continue the tour with you tour leader and discover the typical streets and markets near the Baroaue area. Back to the hotel, and overnight.
Day 5 - Ancient Basilicas
Breakfast at your hotel this morning before you will be collected by bus to visit Area of the Holy Basilicas of Mary Major, St John Lateran and Staircase, Basilica of the Cross of Jerusalem. Mass possible in any of these Basilicas according to availability, with view to book St John Lateran.
Day 6 - Vatican Audience with Pope Francis
Transfer to the Vatican using your Metro pass. We can make a reservation for the audience and your local guide will pick up the invitations.
Day 7 - Free Day
Breakfast at your hotel, transfer on your own to the city centre. Free time.
Day 8 - Departure
Breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
