AGLOW IN KRAKOW
Our journey to Krakow began in 2015 in preparation for the great event with Pope Francis known as World Youth Day.
Aglow were the official chosen tour operator for multiple dioceses throughout the UK including Leeds, Lancaster and Salford dioceses, successfully leading over 350 young people to Poland.
It was during these preliminary visits that we were introduced to excellent friendly local hotel managers, guides and transport providers who continue to work closely with us in serving all the needs of our pilgrims.
What You Might do in KRAKOW
Wielizcka Salt Mines…
Marvel the magnificent chambers chiselled out in rock salt at Wielizcka Salt Mines. Here there are amazing underground saline lakes, majestic timber constructions and unique statues and chapels sculpted entirely from salt.
Divine Mercy…
Visit the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy where the chaplet given to Saint Faustina will be prayed and Holy Mass celebrated. Meditate on the message of mercy, that God loves us — all of us — no matter how great our sins.
Walk with Saint Pope John Paul II
Journey in spirit with Saint John Paul II as you explore the city including Wawel Hill, the main market square, the University Quarter & Archbishops palace.
Auschwitz
Vist Auschwitz a worldwide symbol of the Holocaust. Visit the cell of Saint Maximilian Kolbe, who selflessly gave his life to save another. You will have the opportunity to pray the rosary together in the camps.
Czestochowa
Day trip to The Black Madonna of Częstochowa, a revered icon of the Virgin Mary. Its history prior to its arrival in Poland is shrouded in numerous legends which trace the icon's origin to St. Luke who painted it on a cedar table top from the house of the Holy Family.
